How many sleeps until Christmas?
14 Oct 2013
Mid October already…!
Following some important feedback from my customers and 'would be' customers I am now making size 3 and size 9 shoes. In the next few days I will be stocking all 12 colours in both these sizes.
No news on half sizes yet but i promise this is still very much on my radar.
A few interesting things have happened on Twitter this past week or so. I am delighted to have got a mention including pictures on http://www.theupcoming.co.uk/?s=the+british+flat+shoe+companyThe Upcoming is an online magazine publishing thought-provoking stories, glamorous events, cultural insights and interesting news.
I also made it to the following online publication: http://www.stillmadeinbritain.co.uk/shoes/the-british-flat-shoe-company.html
Once again Kat Farmer kindly wore a pair of my British Flat Navy/Cream toe Shoes shoes and has written on her blog. You can keep up to date with Kat’s blogs by subscribing, you can find her here: http://www.doesmybumlook40.blogspot.co.uk/
A British Family is worthy of mention as James Bradshaw is designing and making leather traditional leather products which he is now selling. You can find their products here: http://www.beta.folksy.com/shops/RawLeather They have some great little products so if you are stuck for a gift pop along to the site and take a look.
On the mention of gifts. Christmas is coming. The British Flat Shoe Company is now offering gift vouchers. You can buy the ‘gift vouchers’ from ‘Shop for Shoes’ on the website. We are also offering some accessory products for your shoes which you can view from the ‘Accessory’ page. There are some great little padded insoles with a built in 'gel' implant which really are superb, particulalry if you have a pair of shoes that are just a little bit too big or do not have the comfort in the sole you need.
International and European Postage facility: I have been fortunate enough to attract some buyers from USA recently and made a decision to add the postage details to my website thus making it transparent for customers to view the overseas and calculate the overseas postage details. We can now post out to Europe and Rest of the World. The website will work out the postage and remove the VAT from the countries which are VAT exempt. Just to make you aware that at the checkout the VAT will still show but when you actually come to pay the VAT is taken off and just the relevant postage charges left in place.
The Next Blog will feature the making process of The British Flat Union Flag Shoe...
